African Mushroom Rising festival in Oct 2023
One great reason why you should book a trip to Uganda, or sponsor someone locally to go
Running with Mushrooms will be heading to Uganda in October to attend the African Mushroom Rising festival (and sneak in a few interviews for the blog and podcast ;)
As an African woman, my instinctive reaction to seeing an African mushroom festival was an immediate “YES YES!”
Uganda has a lot to offer mycology (as do other African nations - stay tuned for many future posts about insanely cool mycology in Africa!), and they deserve the full focus of the global mycological community.
🎉 Grab a ticket to African Mushroom Rising here!
You can attend in person or online.
Nothing beats being there in person. African Mushroom Rising is happening at Eco-Agric’s Mushroom Growing Training Centre in Hoima City, Kasingo village, northern Uganda. Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like some travel advice!
A virtual ticket (if you can’t go in person) gives you online access to talks and workshops.
The best part? Every virtual ticket bought by folks like you sponsors a local Ugandan to attend and get this transformative training for free!! So so cool.
Please consider supporting this pioneering event.
Hope to see you there✌️
